The « Anciennes troupes militaires de Montréal » (ATMM) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop, promote and spread knowledge related to the heritage of military troops who participated in the development of Canada’s and Quebec’s society and culture.

Fundraising cocktail

On May 24th, join us in celebrating a memorable event by contributing to the mission of the Anciennes Troupes
Militaires de Montréal.
In addition to being a social and financial lever for youth, our historical interpreters play an essential educational
role for our community and the thousands of tourists who visit the heart of our history in Old Montreal every
year.
By participating in the event, you are helping our young interpreters bring our history to life with pride while
supporting Montreal’s historical and cultural heritage.
You will be immersed in the heart of our history through special guests, performances and a festive atmosphere
inspired by the New France. The event will take place on the historic site of the oldest inn in North America!

Historical demonstrations

Historical demonstrations of musket firing and highland music :

Dates : between the 24th of June and the 25th of August 2023
(Note that on August 4th, 6th, 26th and 27th the interprets will not be in the Old Port of Montreal)

From Wednesday to Sunday at 11 AM near the Pond du Parc linéaire de la Commune

From Wednesday to Sunday at 2:30 PM at the Place Royale

From Saturday to Sunday at 2:30 PM near the Pond du Parc linéaire de la Commune

Château Ramezay Museum

Animations and educational games at the Château Ramezay Museum.

Dates : between the 24nd of June and the 1st of September 2023
(Note that on August 4th, 6th, 26th and 27th the interprets will not be there)

From Wednesday to Sunday between 10 AM and 5 PM

Montreal history festival

The historical interprets of the Anciennes troupes militaires de Montréal will be present at the Montreal history festival. They will present some shows at the event.

Maxville/Glengarry Highland Games

The 78th Fraser’s Highlanders participates again at the Maxville/Glengarry Highland Games. The will be doing two musket demonstrations.

18th Century Public Market

Come meet history head on! Comme experience the  18th Century Public Market! Come see the Compagnie franche de la Marine do musket drill and present our educational games.

Dates : 26th and 27th of August 2023 between 10 AM and 6 PM

Come for free historical activities on the 2nd and 3rd of September! A nice way to conclude the summer festivities with you family at the Île-des-Moulins.

Dates : 2nd and 3rd of September from 12 AM to 5 PM.
